It’s finally spring and summer is right around the corner. Why not bike a little farther, run a little more or walk a greater distance and make your way to Restaurant/Auberge La Gare in Labelle, located directly on “Le P’tit train du Nord” at km 107.
Not to be mistaken though for La Maison de la Gare on Labelle street in Mont Tremblant or La Gare of Ste Jovite which is now the Antipasto restaurant.
We are talking about La Gare Restaurant in the town of Labelle at 180 rue du Dépot. You can go by car but also bike there from surrounding cities via the bike path “train du nord”. For all you Ironmen and women, this is less than 25km on the bike path. A breeze for you!!
The existing station, built in 1924, replaces the first one from 1893 which became too small and obsolete. The train station stop now serves as a restaurant and a wonderful pit stop for cyclists and pedestrians passing by.
Open for breakfast, lunch or supper. Try their burgers with homemade bread and fries cooked in duck fat, their amazing homemade desserts or our favorite…the duck confit salad. The food is delicious and the decor is warm, classic and so very charming. Bring your kids and watch them play in the park while you enjoy your cold cocktail from the restaurant terrace. This is a lovely restaurant and well worth the visit.
Enjoy the summer!!
