Tremblant’s International Blues Festival is almost here

The Tremblant International Blues Festival is coming once again this summer from July 5th to the 14th. This 10 day festival brings thousands of spectators who have an appreciation for these bluesy live shows. As always there are events all around the pedestrian resort and as well in the old village of Tremblant along Lac Mercier.

Here are some of our recommendations of the restaurants you will want to hang out at to get your best seats for the shows.

All the shows that are at the Casino Stage are up in the Place Saint Bernard. Surrounding the Place Saint Bernard is Fat Mardi’s, Le Shack and La Forge Bistro Bar and Grill. La Forge is a popular one since you can sit up on the second floor and get a pretty amazing panoramic view of the stage and surrounding area. The very first show will be July 5th at 7:15pm on this stage so get your seat, your cocktails and get ready for the grand opening!

The Scène Promenade Deslauriers Stage is also a quaint, smaller stage behind the main walkway of the pedestrian village on the resort. They have shows starting at noon on Saturday, July 6th. Your very best seat is at Coco Pazzo Restaurant. You can eat great Italian food and start the weekend listening to Lance Anderson and Quisha Wint’s Blues and Soul music.

Another great stage is the Scène Vieux Tremblant which is located on the shores of Lac Mercier in the old village of Mont Tremblant. Their shows begin Saturday July 6th. The old village is bustling with great restaurants like Ital Delli, Milly’s, La Sandwicherie and Pub Au Coin which are just steps from the show.

Finally some of our favorite restaurants will also host live shows later in the evening inside their establishment. Some are free like Mike Goudreau Band (blues) 10:30pm at  Bullseye Saloon & Grill  (Saturday the 5th) or Jo Hell (Blues) 10:30 pm at Le P’tit Caribou  (sunday the 7th of July)  and some you have to pay a small fee like the Shawn McPherson Band (blues)10:30 pm at La Forge Bar & Grill $10.00 on July 8th.
