Tremblant has been yet again rated the # 1 ski destination in Eastern North America by Ski mag for the 15th year in a row. This year, it even made the top 20 best ski resorts in all of North America voted by the readers of the Condé Nast Travellers magazine. It truly has it all!
This past weekend the season started with a bang, we had the ‘24h’ in Tremblant, a great which bring loads of people up before the rush of the holidays. So many people come up to the laurentians for this event and it truly is one of best . The resort is buzzing with people, action, full restaurants, music, mascots, racers, and so much more. For those of you who live in a bubble and don’t know what the 24h is, its a fundraising event held every year for the past 12 years to raise money for sick children in need. Groups set out and ski for an ongoing 24 hours from Saturday noon to Sunday noon in a race to raise money. This year there were 215 teams of skiers and snowboarders. The restaurants and bars on resort were filled with people.
We, here at Tremblant Restaurants, went to check out the scene. In the winter time, after a full day of skiing, it’s always a great idea to indulge in the ‘apres ski’ scene. This weekend was obviously no exception and we weren’t going to pass up on this great weekend to soak up the buzz of the resort. Some of us went over to Grill La Forge to listen to Franky Selector live, while my sister hung out with Ariane Lavigne, top snowboarder on the Canadian National Team over at Le Shack.
If you’ve been to Tremblant before, and you’ve come in the winter, you have most likely witnessed the The Shack’s action and seen one or two people dancing with their ski boots on the bar. There have been fun times and it is still considered one of the best ‘apres ski’ spots in all of Tremblant.
The event raised a new record breaking $2 045 391 and had another successful year with great mild weather and an awesome turnout. The resort and surrounding area was full and the businesses thrived.
Thanks to all for a great weekend. Keep coming up to Tremblant and keep supporting us. We thank you!
